how quickly the wolves will turn on some of their own when the pot get stirred<
(Sadly) most Christians are too stupid to really consider the words that Jesus was speaking. A (natural minded) man can not understand the things of the Spirit. Thus, neither can most Christians when it comes to recognizing truth. If a Christian< needs to be reminded of something that the Spirit of God has been speaking for all eternity, then he hould really stop sniffing his own stink and get his head out of his natural behind
Most churches have about as much power as a beauty pageant as they only focus on the outward appearance instead of yielding to the Spirit of God-- which reveals to whomever is willing to decide if they are going to follow the scriptures-- as it says very clearly and very plainly; the devil knows the scriptures better than most Christians and yet he continuously roams the earth like a lion looking for anyone to seek, kill, and destroy. More people are willing to listen to the devil than they are the voice of God.
The trouble with most Christians is they have so much doubt inside of their mind, will, and emotions, they don't ever think from a perspective that even Jesus struggled with his humanity. Of course most Christians would say-- "ridiculous that you think Jesus struggled" -- well that's exactly the kind of thinking that would lead a Christian to decide whether or not to witness to a person. Most Chrisitans are too heavenly-minded thinking about when they die and get to meet Jesusthat they are are no earthly good to realize how to live a practical-purpose-filled Christian life. A donkey knows it's a donkey, but sometimes it's the ones who claim to call themselves Christians who act like the jackasses.... Balaam knows all too well about that
Sadly, most Christians only know how to think at the suface level (regarding their faith). This (in turn) leads to surface-level comments which merely summarize/reflect most Christian cookie-cutter. Many Christians want to believe what you say, but yet you sound more like a Rush Limbaugh talk-show. "dittos, dittos, whatever you say... Pray for me, grace indeed," You mine as well have "Sieg Heil" attached to your comments. Many people don't even (for one second) think what do the scriptures really mean
As for most Christians; most of their "talk" that is spouted from can be summarized/described by the following adjectives: disengenuine, haughty, condescending, merit-lacking, complaisant, ego-driven, distainful. It would be more exciting to watch a KKK rally than to listen to a bunch of squirrels scrambling for nuts.
A wake-up call to most Christians; get your nose out of the rear-end of the Calvinistic mindset and into the scriptures. Many non-Christians view that "theology" as elitest and are turned off by it. It is a horrible way to witness to non-believers. READ THIS VERY CAREFULLY (to the rest of you as well)--> many of you are being falsely led by going around with the "God calls the elect mindset." Yes, the scriptures (in Romans) speak of this but MANY OF YOU have adopted this as your reason for believing and are WORSHIPPING THIS SO-CALLED "THEOLOGY" rather than the Truth-Giving Spirit of Christ; the one who has given us all life. If some of you are not careful and don't turn from your belief system, the Lord is going to reveal to you in the not-too far future how pathetic your efforts have been to turn your nose at the ones who the Lord has put into your pathways.
Most of today's Christians are no more interested in growing to know the Lord intimately as they are in knowing how properly thank someone for a job well done. Many who come on here know how to say all the right things and certainly can express how they feel about something ,but the MINUTE someone comes on here and says something that is contrary to how their FEELINGS towards God--> they curl up into a ball like a snake and pout/strike
The purpose of what is being written here is to cause the reader to think about what he/she is thinking about (either positive or negative). Jesus did not come to seek, kill, and destroy but to unite. Most Christians (sadly) are not interested in intimately knowing the Lord. If they were, they wouldn't drop everything to say "AMEN!" when someone speaks a scripture verse. RIDICULOUS...
many Christians worship the idea of Jesus rather than Jesus (the Christ). It is an insult to the faith that many claim to say they have. THis kind of watered-down bullcrap is the same as the direction public education has taken. Noone is interested in actively pursuing the Lord's heart, to seek His face, to genuinely putting their "PRAYER AGENDA" aside and instead going before the Lord and simply saying: "Lord, here I am, I have no other." If Christians really did this, church's woudl have more power.
Churches need to be actively disciplining their believers and not just having meetings (which most Sunday services have turned into). The Lord is certainly willing to pour out His intimacy when people stop putting their own prayer agenda of "Lord, will you fix my problem" or "Lord, will you give you give you a good day?" ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Someone who has gone to church their whole life and SHOULD know the Lord better has resorted to insulting the Lord with those stupid prayers? They mine as well not pray them because if they think the Lord is listening to those types of prayers--> well, then they don't know the scriptures very well because that is contrary to the scriptures. Animals don't argue with mother nature but humans are the ONLY species of animal stupid enough to try and film a tornado
The bible does not lead anyone to John Calvin, John Wesley, or any other theologian. It leads people to Christ. Plain and simple. Anyone who reverts to defending who they are worshipping doesn't need to try and convert a disciple to a particular theology or theologian.
If someone presents the notion that having a particularly bad day must be the result of the Lord's will-- what they are possibly dealing with is: the Lord's desires for that particular person were not revealed to that person possibly due (in part) to a particular decision that person made, or it could have been to letting the Lord's descision-making strategy to become a Christian-based strategy. This kind of faith does not come easy or over-night-- rather it comes through intimimately seeking Jesus as the (Christ) through His Word and His Spirit. They must both go hand in hand.
So many churches continually push the Lord's Word out of the church and what they are simply left with is an independent thinking that has not been blessed by the Lord to that particular church. (Sadly) it often leads churches to not go out of their way to minister to a particular person/group of people because the leadership of the church has ADOPTED the notion of "What if I had pursued that person? Well, it doesn't matter because God is in control of all things." What that does is it frequently freezes the person's mind, will, and emotions (their soul) into a " FROZEN CHOSEN" prison of that persons'/church's soul. Hence, these same churches have nothing left but their own curriculum/doctrine to bring in church meetings
TO SIMPLIFY THIS: let's say a church is beginning to have attendance issues. The common, surface-level approach would be: This must be the Lord's will for our church. Of course, this could be the truth; but the trouble with this kind of mindset is that it leads church's to base their decision-making purely on "well, the Lord must have wanted this to happen" which further results in the churches to seeing a drop in attendance only as a positive. There could be a number of reasons as to why the attendance has dropped--> pastor has been having an affair, leadership is mistreating congregation members, the church (as a whole) unwilling to pursue what direction the Lord has for the church. QUITE OFTEN, disobedience is usually the reason for things that happen in a Christian's tries to walk out his/her faith. Disobedience is not a characteristic of the Lord and what results is the Christian is then placed into a state of confusion in their mind, will, and emotions. This almost comes upon that person/church like a dark cloud and can lead that particular person/church down many dangerous pathways
SO, whenever I hear a person say they "only read this particular bible " or "worship at that particular denomination" or I simply want to ask that person, if the scriptures do not make one mention about either of those two terms, then what is the reason you feel the urge/need to defend your faith with that, rather than the scriptures? If a person knows the scriptures as well as the Spirit of God is capable of retrieving them to a person's memory, then why should he/she need to resurrect a person's ideologies--> rather than expound on what the scriptures mean to them due to their coming to understand and "know what is the width and heighth, and depth of His love?"
